Abstract

This article deals with two features associated with spontaneity. These features are repetitions of the same word and the presence of typos, misspellings, and word fragments.

Both features are more frequent in informal dialogic spoken language, however, its presence and similar aspects of usage in informal, non-proofread computer-mediated communication (discussions, forums, Facebook posts) confirm that both spoken and written data could be properly considered to represent spontaneous communication.
