Abstrakt
The chapter deals with the U.S. programs for support of democracy in Czechoslovakia after 1989. It seeks what the USA preferred to finance and what kind of investments could be labelled as "support of democracy".
The study goes past the breaking of Czechoslovakia and looks for the connections between the crises of democracy in Czechia and Slovakia in the 2010s and the political and economic transformation in the 1990s.
