Abstract

The article is devoted to some polysemantic nouns existing in Carpatho-Rusyn dialects, containing "a butterfly" as one of word meanings. Polysemants and homonyms, existing in differents dialects, and the ones, existing within one dialect, are studied separately.

The Lexical databaze of South Carpathian dialects on the materials of Ivan Pankevych ( the Slavonic Institute CAS) and the author's field research records were used as the material resources for the article.
