Abstract
Our faculty is a direct successor of a medical faculty which together with the faculty of liberal arts, faculty of law and faculty of theology formed the foundation of one of the oldest universities in Europe, the Charles University, since its foundation in 1348. This venerable tradition is a legacy we strive to live up to, but success and reputation of a university are achieved by active work in the present and a vision of the future.
We perceive the centuries-old legacy of our school as an obligation we are trying to meet to the benefit of current and future patients, an obligation to be transferred as a challenge to the next generation of successful medical professionals.
