Which grammar of moral obligation?

Abstract

This book is the first monograph written in French which presents Elizabeth Anscombe's ethics integrally. It focuses particularly on Anscombe's critics of the deontological language and on the deep grammar of moral "ought".

In Anscombe's moral philosophy this approach is not separable from the philosophy of action, from the renewal of virtue ethics and from its rootedness in the Catholic tradition.
