Petr Čornej, DrSc. (born 1951), a leading Czech historian of the Middle Ages, was published on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the beginning of the Hussite revolution. It is the result of the work of a historian of the generation who managed to defend the ideologisation of Czech history in the normalization stage of the development of totalitarian Czechoslovakia and gradually lead it in new directions.
It is a critical, objective and unencumbered work of ideological or narrowly confessional prejudices.
