Abstract
The study thematizes selected elements of Nietzsche's critique of Christianity and shows in what aspects theological reflection can be beneficial. In the first part, he pays attention to the idea of the death of God, which he places in the context of the time and interprets its effects on the field of ontology, epistemology and ethics.
He then focuses on Nietzsche's distinctive attitude toward Jesus Christ, the apostle Paul, and Christianity in general. The conclusion of the study from the position of Nietzsche's critique questions the legitimacy of the rejection of the corporeality, the material world and earthly life from Christian positions.
It shows the situation of Christian virtues and asks about the motives that lead believers to observe them. It encourages openness to reviewing and reinterpreting articles of faith and reassessing the legitimacy of moral views so that Christianity can remain relevant to the current social direction.
