Disenfranchised Grief: when collective norms make individual grief difficult

Abstract

Disenfranchised grief can be perceived as a reaction to loss coused by dead of important person, which is colpicated by the fact that it is not accaptable by society. In the text is found answer to question: What methods can be used for working with disenfranchised grief by social workers acording to different conceptions of social work? In the text we define (at firs) basic features of different conceptions of social work formulated by Musil).

Then methods (described in peer-reviewed journals and publications) are assigned to different conceptions of social work. From a methodological point of view, the text is based on theoretical adaptation approach (Jaakkola).
