Abstrakt
Authors of this article really appreciate readers' interest, numerous comments and questions regarding our article "Osmium absorption after osmium tetroxide skin and eye exposure". We would like to respond to them in this current letter.
Our patient, a 32-year-old female researcher, was stained by 9 ml of 2% osmium tetroxide (OsO(4) ) in acetone during an accident in a biological laboratory in January 2019. We published a case report of a rare exposure with ocular, dermal and laboratory findings associated with the exposure, leading to several unsolved questions.
