Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis called "The Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church: Theological Debate about their Nature, Role, and Arrangement in the Last 25 Years" is to present what theologians from the Seventh-day Adventist Church have written about nature, role and arrangement of the fundamental beliefs of their church in the last quarter century. Another paper's aim is to introduce the mentioned debate in the context of Seventh-day Adventist doctrinal statements and herme-neutical principles.

The first part of the diploma thesis deals with main landmarks of Seventh-day Adventist doctrinal statements and hermeneutical basis for their doctrine. The second part describes in detail how Seventh-day Adventist scholars answer the questions of what are the fundamental beliefs, why should the church hold them and how to arrange them.
