A few remarks on the remuneration of dependent work in a historical perspective

Abstract

The chapter deals with the remuneration of dependent work in the past, the dogmatic level and the socio-economic level. By the term dogmatic level we understand the definition of the remuneration of dependent work in relation to the type-bound contractual framework between the employer and the employee.

At the socio-economic level, we can then consider remuneration, which - if fair - acts as a regulator of social peace in society.
