Abstrakt
The chapter deals with overview of current national school system, it describes historical background and development of compulsory physical Education and school sport, aims and objectives of curricula and teaching concepts of PE in the Czech Republic. The chapter also analyses promotion of active learning with physical activity at school, extra- curricular settings, teacher's training and current research of PESS studies in the country.
It finishes with needs and items of new cross border and EU based PESS research studies.
