Abstract
The book seeks to explain the personality and the work of Philo of Alexandria in the context of Hellenism and Judaism. His life opus is an attempt of a synthesis of so different intellectual and cultural worlds, in the field of religion, ethics, Biblical commentary, and philosophy, with the use of the allegorical method.
