Abstract
Classifications of Central European living nature are usually based on the idea that its character is determined by a combination of timeless (synchronous) parameters. However, such an approach is not sufficient to explain all the differences observed.
Paleoecological research convincingly shows that the roots of differences are largely conditioned historically.
