The Slovácko verbunk and its interpretation as an act of folklorism

Abstract

The issue is focused on a transformation of phenomenon of the slovacko verbunk in connection with the Best Slovácko verbuňk dancer contest held as part of the Strážnice International Folklore Festival. It maps the verbunk transformation from folklore to folklorism.

The issue deals with the interpretation of the slovacko verbunk by children as a contemporary phenomenon.
