The article offers an attempt to determine the subject and meaningful interpretation of the early Baroque figural stucco decoration on the vault of the rear passage of the castle Červený Hrádek. In connection with this, possible sources of inspiration for the elaboration of the given topic are presented, namely in the Flemish graphics of the 16th and the first half of the 17th century.
Finally, the article deals with the issue of the final surface treatment of stucco, which, as shown by the restoration survey and subsequent restoration, plays a key role in the overall presentation of the work.
