On the right side of the river: New research of the Hellenistic settlement in southern Uzbekistan

Abstract

This conference paper summarizes the starting points and results of research on Hellenistic settlement in the Bactro-Sogdian borderlands (today's southern Uzbekistan, Bajsun district) and identifies some basic characteristics of the settlement pattern of this region based on data obtained by the Czech-Uzbek expedition in 2017-2019.
