Grieving of people with intellectual disabilities. Phenomenon of death, bereavement and intellectual disability
Abstract
Abstrakt The presented paper deals with the topic of grieving in people with intellectual disabilities. The authors present the results of quantitative-qualitative research, which was carried out in years 2018-2020 and whose goal was 1. to understand the grieving in people with intellectual disabilities, 2. measure the effect of the participation in the support group for mourners with intellectual disabilities on their grieving process, 3. to find out the level of readiness of workers of homes for people with disabilities and sheltered housing to support grieving users with intellectual disabilities, to find out how they perceive the area of grieving in people with intellectual disabilities, to describe the profile of workers and the profile of organizations involved in research.
