Active Citizenship and community living - findings from the DISCIT study

Abstrakt

Deinstitutionalisation of persons with disabilities is an issue of social policies in several EU countries. Active citizenship is closely linked to active particaption in community.

Findings of the DISCIT studies suggest that there are gaps in support for persons with disabilites which prevent their institutionalisation and social segregation in all all countries studied.
