Abstract
The article is a combination of a review of The Developing Mind, 3rd edition by Daniel Siegel and reflection about areas of current knowledge, which should be considered as essential for psychosomatic medicine. The current edition of the title is compared with the previous one, the content is overviewed, and the benefit for our understanding of mind-body-relationship complexity is emphasized.
In general reflection, the title is recommended as a core text for postgraduate training in psychosomatic medicine for physicians, clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers etc.
