Abstract
The Knihověda.cz website represents a component of the basic infrastructure for research of Czech book culture until 1800 in the form of integrated bibliographic sources, interpretive texts and new research tools. The Database of Bibliographic Sources is involved in the portal, in which two branches of the Czech retrospective bibliography and the database of manuscripts are mainly integrated.
The portal also includes an interactive Map of Printed Production in Bohemia and Moravia up to 1800 and The online Encyclopaedia of the Book in the Czech Middle Ages and in the Early Modern Period. The goal of the portal is to create a new platform for basic research into Czech book culture with an emphasis on its popularization and educational potential.
