Abstract

The book presents Czech medieval book culture and its media, i.e. manuscripts and incunabula. It describes how books were written and later printed, used and collected.

It focuses mainly on the monuments of the Latin cultural circle from territories of the Czech Kingdom and the Moravian Margraviate from the 9th century to 1500, i.e. until printed book began to predominate significantly in Czech book culture.
