Abstract

The set of teaching materials Robotics with LEGO WeDo for the primary schools is focused on supporting the implementation of activities in the field of educational robotics in the level from third to fifth year of primary school education. It contains five follow-up teaching activities using the LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotic kits, worksheets for students, methodical instructions for teachers and instructions for the construction of individual proposed activities.

The individual activities are primarily focused on the development of algorithmic thinking and programming skills using the default graphical environment WeDo 2.0. The methodical part of the set of teaching materials emphasizes the principles of constructivism, constructionism, project teaching methods and to a large extent is devoted to creative projects and practical activities in the field of design and modification of the algorithm and work with a robotic kits.

The methodology also includes the necessary technical description of working with a robotic sets and practical recommendations based on teachers' experience with teaching robotics in schools. Finally, the methodology is supplemented by a set of exercises to practice and other ideas for working with elements that were not involved in the presented activities.
