Abstract

The contribution deals with the formation of the natural-science image of the world in early years education. It describes experiences gained at work with preschool and elementary school kids and their teachers over more than ten years period.

Furthermore, the creation of relevant models and levels of explanation of selected physics phenomena with respect to age and curriculum and its inclusion in pupils learning process will be discussed.
