Paschal Hymns is a collection of liturgical poetry written by Saint Ephraim the Syrian (306-373) for the Paschal celebration in the Syriac Orthodox tradition. The body of thirty-five hymns is divided into three sections: the Feast of Unleavened Bread , the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection.
The translation was made from Syriac, supplemented with explanatory notes and bibliography. The introductory chapter on Paschal liturgical celebration in Syria of St Ephraim was written byl Jaroslav Brož.
