Why is a rebuilding of the Máj department store acceptable according to Mr. Skalický

Abstract

The Prague Máj department store, the work of the famous Sial studio, 1975, is a listed monument by 2006. However, the Prague City office for preservation accepted an year ago its rebuilding which is harmful for its unique architecture.

The paper analyses arguments for that action written by the chief of that office, Mr. Skalický.
