Abstract
The historical study is attached to the edition of the 19th century literary texts related to the White Mountain Battle. The author explains this battle in the historical framework of the uprising of the Bohemian Estates, 1618-1620, and then he follows the changes in its interpretation in the Czech historical consciousness, 17th through 20th centuries
