Abstrakt
The theme of the text is an attempt to reconstruct the image of Poland and Poles presented in the publication entitled "Polský zápisník" by the Czech journalist Pavel Novák. The stories, characters and places appearing on its pages let us first answer the question of how our southern neighbors see us, our country and our culture.
As a result, the analyzed publication also becomes a pretext to reflect on the specificity and condition of Czech literary reportage, not only the one that presents Poland.
