Abstract
The article deals with living standards in the royal town of Most (NW Bohemia) during the 13th - 16th centuries. Its intention is to provide a reflection on the relation between archaeologically researched material culture and various levels of the social spectrum.
An important support for this is the tax register from the year 1525, which documents various residential zones within the town
