Abstract

The chapter is an English translation of Lee Ming-huei's text, which explores the interpretations of the Confucian concept of "inner sageliness and outer kingliness" in a scholarly debate raised by the the renowned Taiwanese scholar of Zhu Xi and Song-Mind Dynasty intellectual history, Yu Ying-shih.
