This research deals with a unique institution in Czech penitentiary system: prison tutors - the most important part of the resocialization process - from their prisoners' point of view right in the field. Structured interviews with the inmates were collected, analyzed by the method of clusters and then interpreted by an expert group.
The results show that the prisoners have an ambivalent relationship to their tutor. On one hand they perceive him as a person with an impact on their punishment, on the other hand the status of the tutor in prison is low and his role for the inmates is utmost service.
