Abstract
The topic of migration has recently become emotionally biased and often abused. To prevent misinterpretation and misuse of data in this area, it is necessary that students are capable of searching, comparing and interpreting reliable data.
This article introduces the issue of statistical data in the field of international migration and provides definitions of the key terminology. It presents main sources of data in international migration as well.
The article also proposes classroom activities using migration data.
