Abstract
SGLT inhibitors are drugs that have a beneficial effect on the compensation of diabetes without an increased risk of hypoglycemia completely independent of insulin secretion, reducing glycemic variability and HbA. They reduce weight, lower blood pressure, and have a positive cardiorenal effect in both primary and secondary prevention.
