Forecast for the population development and age structure of the capital city of Prague for the period 2020-2050. Bases, assumptions and basic results of the forecast
Abstract
The presented demographic study aims to map in the basic outlines the current population development of the capital city of Prague and on the basis of scientific knowledge of this development and its essential context, to compile a prognostic estimate of changes in the number and sex and age structure of the population of the affected territorial-administrative unit, in detail that would allow effective decision-making of local self-government within the scope of its competencies and substantiated argumentation in relation to voters and other subjects of public administration. The study consists of two separate components, text and tabular.
The text part is divided into two basic parts - analytical and prognostic. In them, they are presented in a comprehensive form, discussed and clearly presented the main results of prognostically oriented analyzes and assumptions and results of the subsequent forecast.
The table section contains detailed results of all three variants of the compiled demographic forecast. In it, in a one-year step and in a one-year detail of the structure as well as in standard aggregations, absolute and relative numbers of inhabitants are presented.
