Limits of the Use of Modern Technology within the Provision of Legal Services

Publication at Faculty of Law |
2020

Abstract

The paper deals with the issue of the provision of legal services with the use of modern technologies and seeks to analyse whether the provision of certain LegalTech services meets the definition of the provision of legal services within the meaning of the advocacy act and therefore whether these services can be provided by a person other than a registered lawyer, and whether it is possible to exclude the liability for damage caused by legal technology. The author argues with the recent case law of foreign courts and offers criteria for possible assessment of the content of legal services, especially in the area of automated composition of documents.
