Abstract

The paper focus on the Red International Labour Union (RILU) that was established in July 1921. RILU supported the efforts of bolshevization of the communist movement, it tried mostly to push through the unyielding approach in workers strikes.

Despite partial success it never managed to threaten the position of International Trade Unions, it was disbanded at the end of 1937, since the Soviet leadership saw it as an obstacle in carrying out the United front policy.
