Abstrakt
The paper presents preschool education in the Czech Republic. It defines its position in the Czech education system, its goals, curriculum and teacher training system.
It highlights the strengths of Czech pre-school education and the challenges it faces. it also presents the results of a project aimed at developing pre-literacy in nursery schools.
