Abstract
A comprehensive chapter of the collective monograph provides a systematic, comprehensive interpretation of the development of legitimized, by state- and self-government-controlled begging. This was implemented on the basis of licenses with a limited period of validity.
The authors examine the problem on the methodology of business history, however, they also add to the interpretation a broader socio-economic and cultural context.
