Abstract
There are some common prominent features in the novels of Anna Bolavá that we try to grasp in our analysis. We point out mainly invariant and specific features of the fictional world she creates.
These comprise the type of main characters, treating the space and atmosphere within the four seasons of the year, the environment of a small town or literary picture of perception sensitivity. Description is being developed on the background of the author's latest novel Před povodní (Before the Flood, Odeon, 2020).
We also take ccount of explicitly offered intertextuality in her novel. Anna Bolavá is featured in the context of the generation of writers born around the year 1980.
