Abstract
The review article deals with the definition of terms, including recent trends in terminology and diagnostics. It characterizes the stages of gender reassignment.
It describes an increase in the number of patients, especially at a younger age, and the possibility of so-called blockade therapy. It also deals with other alternatives for the care of transgender patients in the future.
