Abstract
The author points out the great importance of school subjects with cognitive and emotional aspects of general education, which include music education. It emphasizes its importance for the personal development of children.
He considers the continuity and the most important events of music education from 1934 to the present. He gives reasons for the importance of Music Education within the educational system as a separate school subject, gives examples of useful music education activities and concludes his contribution with the most important steps towards its innovation.
