The comparative article presents the results of an analysis of chosen textbooks focusing on the Czech language for German speaking students. In some books we can find inaccuracies or errors that can't be classified as oversights - the problem consists in the theoretical field.
Mostly, there is confusion about the terms and use of aspect and aktionsart. For example, in the sample texts aspectually irrelevant examples are often used.
German native speakers have the highest level of difficulty, among all Europeans, when learning about aspect, as there is no such grammaticalized category such as the English progressive or the French difference between imperfect and perfect tenses. This is the reason why more attention should be paid to this category.
