Abstract
This manuscript is intended for experts in the fields of audiology, occupational medicine, otorhonolaryngology or phoniatrics. It is focused on examination and assessment of handicaps of patients suffering from occupational noise induced hearing loss, prevention of this occupational noise induced hearing loss, and the role of the nurse in the audiology department.
The issue of using personal protective equipment against noise and other issues of hearing loss prevention are essential parts of the primary prevention. Therefore, education plays a crucial role in hearing loss prevention.
