Abstract

In 2016, a coin hoard was discovered in the field to the north-east of the Plchůvky Village. The hoard consists of 461 coins and few small coin fragments.

It seems to be one group of coins mixed together from two separate coin hoards via ploughing - both parts are marked as A and B in the catalogue. Part A is represented by 169 Prague grossi (nos.

A1-169). This group of coins was buried after 1547.

Part B is represented by 292 coins (nos. B170-461) - the coins come from 35 countries (the Habsburg Empire, Silesian Duchies, German territories, Switzerland, Poland and the Netherlands), and they were buried sometimes after 1616.
