Abstract
The musical culture of the Bohemian Utraquist church followed older traditions from the pre-Hussite period. This phenomenon can be observed e.g. on the repertory of chants composed in the cantus fractus style or on the compositions by Petrus Wilhelmi de Grudencz which are rooted in the culture of ars nova.
