Determinants of Dictator Giving under Interactive and Non-interactive Protocols

Abstrakt

The dictator game is a successful tool to experimentally measure distributional preference. Prior research, however, uses slightly different protocols of the dictator game.

We test whether the different protocols have effects on measuring distributional preferences. We find that different protocols can have important effects on dictator giving.

Therefore, the results indicate that some prominent findings require updating
