From art historical praxis to the university : Art history in process of emancipation (mid of the 19th Century to 1894)

Abstract

Chapter of the book examines beginnings of teaching of art history at the Karl-Ferdinand University (Charles University). Art history was taught on some art schools in Prague, too.

After the division of the University to the German and Czech part, art history was taught on both sides.
