4th Interdsciplinary Workshop, Round table and Experiments History of Glass (East Slovakia) in Hanušovce nad Topľou
Abstract
We organize the traditionaly workshop every year. It is part of the festival of living archeology of the archeopark.
This worshop has two parts. 1st part is traditionally dedicated to various areas of life, science and research connected with the history of glass ineast Slovakia and in international research. Second part is dedicated to the experiment with historic glass in a wood-heated glass furnace from the 9th century, which takes place in front of the public.
It includes an expert explanation of the archaeological context and of the physical and chemical phenomena in the production of glass and products.
