Abstract

Leptospiral infection usually leads to liver and renal damage. Our case report describes the clinical course of a young man infected by Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae accompanied by jaundice and acute renal insufficiency necessitating treatment including acute hemodialysis.

This clinical course is typical only in 5-10% patients, that is why we consider it useful to report this case.
