Abstract
The website Infomore.cz is a joint project of the Faculty of Social Sciences CU, Faculty of Medicine, MU in Brno and NEWTON Media. The aim of the project, which connects journalism, medical and computer sciences, is to reduce the rate of information (excessive dissemination of disinformation to a particular problem).
It will relate not only to the current COVID-19 pandemic but also to other future epidemics, by identifying selected forms of media misrepresentation (e.g. inaccurate work of journalists with data, incorrect selection of reference examples and comparisons, insufficient knowledge of medical terminology, etc.). The Infomore.cz website is primarily intended for the media, data analysts, the learned public and other users who are actively involved in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Visitors of the website will find educational animations, overview wordclouds, comprehensive analyzes, examples of good and bad practice from the Czech Republic and abroad, analyzes of the most common disinformation narratives, a dictionary of basic terms associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and animations that should popularize the complex issues to the general public. The project on infodemic (COVID-19 infodemic: AI communication platform suppressing infodemic in connection with journalistic and media ethics) was supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.
